\"... the first things I wanted to do was inform you how much our Puku Pan safari contributed to our African experience. Having taken another safari, with a similar price structure, we are able to make an objective comparison. Not being able to use VISA made for a difficult beginning but, it appears to be the standard practice. As soon as we arrived, all was forgotten. From the welcoming cool drinks to the varied and reasonably priced activities, all aspects of our stay were topnotch. The entire staff is to be commended. Puku Pan was a highlight of our trip.
Our daughter was able to find a large carved \"hippo\" at a market in Lusaka. She calls it \"Puku\" (In Canada, we can call a hippo a kind of antelope and no-one would be the wiser). Puku Pan has been given the ultimate compliment.\"

“This turned out to be an excellent location, for in less than a day of birding I compiled a list of over 50 species, including two lifers, Rock Pratincole and little Spotted Woodpecker.”

“Sometimes the seeming silence is interrupted by the roar of a lion. In the distance the answer of a rivalling troop usually follows.”

“At the side on the way back we saw two water monitors and six elephants in the water. Hippos have become so common that I don’t even mention them anymore.”
